5 Ways to Fight Fine Lines

Taking care of our skin is important for many reasons. Using the right skincare products can help prevent blemishes, give you a radiant complexion, and keep your skin feeling soft and smooth. It’s also important to use the products that are going to help prevent and fade the signs of aging. After all, there aren’t many of us who want to deal with the wrinkles or dull skin that come with the aging process. However, there’s even more outside of skincare products that you can do to keep your skin looking and feeling its best. To help ensure your skin stays looking youthful, we’re sharing five ways to fight fine lines. Keep this advice in mind and your skin will be glowing!

1. Stay Hydrated

The reality is, the foods and drinks we consume can have a major impact on the outward appearance of our skin. While great skincare products can help, eating right can aid in eliminating blemishes and will keep your skin healthy. One of the best ways to make sure your skin is looking its best is to stay hydrated.

Make sure you are hydrating your body by drinking plenty of water each and every day. Not only is it essential for your body as a whole, but you’re sure to see a difference in your skin when you drink enough water. It helps to flush the toxins out of your body and your skin will feel moisturized and radiant as a result. You can also drink coconut water for the same effect or drink some green tea, since it’s loaded with antioxidants.

2. Consume Foods Rich in Antioxidants

As mentioned above, what we consume has a major impact on the appearance of our skin. In order to fight fine lines, you’ll want to consider what you’re putting into your body just as much as what you put on it. The best things you can eat to encourage great skin are foods that contain antioxidants.

Antioxidants can help prevent your skin from being damaged by the free radicals we encounter in the environment on a daily basis. Look for foods that contain vitamins A, C, and E and foods that are loaded with beta carotene. Foods that you should add to your daily diet include fruits such as blueberries, cranberries, and kiwi. Loading up on leafy greens such as spinach and kale will also yield great results for your skin as well. And if you’re looking for a dose of beta carotene, add some carrots to your next salad!

3. Get a Good Eight Hours of Sleep

Unfortunately, most of us probably aren’t getting enough sleep every night and it’s showing in our skin. You probably already know that a lack of sleep can result in a dull complexion and will leave you with dark circles and bags underneath your eyes. But did you know that getting a good eight hours of sleep can help prevent the signs of aging?

If you want to fight fine lines, it’s important to make sure you’re getting plenty of sleep each and every night. Why? Well, our bodies start to produce cortisol, the stress hormone, when we don’t get enough sleep. Cortisol isn’t great for our skin because is slows the growth and reproduction of skin cells. Not only can it result in tired looking skin, but it can leave our faces feeling dry as well. Our bodies also produce human growth hormone while we sleep and the more sleep you get, the more of it your body produces.

The impact sleep has on our skin is a great one, so it’s all the more reason to create a sleep schedule for yourself and stick to it. While not everyone needs a full eight hours every night in order to feel rested, it’s the recommended amount for all adults. Figure out what time you need to wake up every morning, then determine what time you need to go to bed in order to get in those eight hours. Not only will you feel rested and refreshed, your skin will look amazing as well. And when your skin looks its best naturally, you won’t need quite as much concealer in the morning. It’s a win-win all the way around!

4. Protect Your Skin with SPF

You’ve likely been told your entire life to never leave the house without wearing sunscreen. But did you actually listen to this advice? If you’ve spent time in the sun without the proper protection, your skin has probably been damaged as a result. In some cases, you can see the damage take shape in the form of wrinkles and sun spots. However, there’s most likely damage underneath the skin’s surface that you aren’t able to see.

In order to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays and to eliminate the appearance of signs of aging, you want to protect your skin with SPF. After all, the key to youthful skin is protecting it from damage! Be sure to apply some sunscreen before you head out the door each morning to fight fine lines.

5. Use the Right Skincare Products

Finally, if you want to see results, you need to make sure you’re also using the right skincare products. There are a ton of products on the market that are designed to fight the signs of aging.  However, none of them are quite like our Fruitella PS. This moisturizer helps to activate cellular renewal, as it’s filled with fruit extracts and alpha hydroxy acids. These are just the ingredients you need to smooth those fines lines on the face. The sweet almond proteins and the calendula also found in Fruitella PS help to soothe your skin to avoid any irritation.

This moisturizer is perfect for daytime use and can be part of your daily skincare routine. Be sure to apply it to your face and neck and your skin will be glowing and youthful before you know it. It’s also a go-to for those with dry or sensitive skin.

  • I am 66 years old, I have been using Yonka for about 3 years, I love it. For the past 4 months I have changed to Excellence Code, moisturizer, and the eye/lip cream. I sincerely hope I have done the right thing changing to these two products.
