6 Tips For Clearer Skin

Having a hard time keeping your skin clear? Use these six methods to help your skin look clean, clear, and radiant.

Wash Before Bed

Wash Before Bed

Not washing away the day’s grime? You’re asking for a breakout. Stash waterless cleansers on your nightstand for nights when you’re too tired to move. Wash your face for 30 to 45 seconds with a cleanser, for best results.

Don’t Pop Your Zits

Don't Pop Zit

It’s so hard not to, I know. But try to resist. Popping a pimple doesn’t actually make it go away. In fact, it can actually make it worse and leave you with scars that are much harder to get rid of. Or even worse, you could end up with a skin infection. Be sure to consult a professional when dealing with large zits or acne.

Don’t Stress

Don't Stress

Easier said than done, we know. But stress hormones increase oil production, which can lead to clogged pores and whiteheads. So make an effort to relax when needed. Try meditating, yoga, or a quick workout to reduce daily stress.

Wash Your Pillow Case

Wash Pillow Case

Did you know that bacteria, oil, and even hair products get absorbed by your pillowcase that then can be transferred to your skin? So make sure to not only wash your face in the AM, but also, wash your pillowcases once a week.

Last but definitely not least…

Use SPF Daily

Use SPF Daily

Sunscreen isn’t just for summer, your skin needs protection every day, even in winter. There are now sunscreens for every skin type, even ones that help make your skin less oily, so your face stays matte and pimple-free! Look for a daily moisturizer with SPF that says it’s lightweight and oil-free. Also, make sure it has both UVA and UVB protection. This will prevent sun damage and future wrinkles.
