3 Holy Grail Ingredients of Anti-Aging Skincare

If you’re looking for new anti-aging products to incorporate into your skincare routine, you’re likely overwhelmed with all of the options available to you. From the drugstore to high-end brands, there are moisturizers, creams, and serums that claim to reverse every sign of aging and each one features a variety of ingredients that claim to be the best ever. But which ingredients should you really look for? We’re sharing three ingredients you should be using if you want to get younger looking skin.

1. Vitamin C

Vitamin C is amazing all-around. It’s essential for your health, but it’s also great in your skincare products. It helps to boost your collagen production, which decreases as we age. When you use products that boost your collagen levels, you’ll be left with firmer, softer skin that has a more youthful appearance.

You can also use Vitamin C in your skincare to fight the damaging effects of free radicals in the environment, such as pollution. Free radicals are said to damage skin cells and decrease collagen production, which can dry out the skin and lead to signs of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles.

If you are looking for a skincare product with the right amount of vitamin C to keep your skin healthy, try Yon-Ka’s Hydralia. It works to soften and comfort dehydrated skin with its mix of vitamin C, B5, and high-quality essential oils.

2. Glycolic Acid

Glycolic acid is a common ingredient in anti-aging products because it works as a chemical exfoliation on the surface layer of the skin. It serves as another option for people who find scrubs to be too harsh or irritating.

This “holy grail” ingredient will help soften fine lines and leave your skin looking plump. But that’s not all glycolic acid can do! It can also be used to brighten your complexion, minimize the appearance of pores, and fight acne.

3. Hyaluronic Acid

You may not know that hyaluronic acid is actually produced by our bodies! However, our skin can start losing hyaluronic acid as early as age 18 and when that happens, those signs of aging can start creeping up. This is why it’s important to start using anti-aging products in our 20s if we really want to combat aging! Since we lose hyaluronic acid as we age, it only makes sense to add it back into our skin, right?

You can add hyaluronic acid by getting fillers at the dermatologist, but you can also use creams and serums that contain this powerful ingredient. It will add moisture back into your skin, which will leave your face looking plump and smooth!

  • Thanks for keeping it simple Rachel. Vitamin C in skin care products is great as long as the Vitamins can be absorbed by the skin. I hear some products use formulations that are not "bio-available" via skin absorbtion. Not sure how you find out.
