Yon-Ka Teams Up With Cancer and Careers For Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Yon-Ka Teams Up With Cancer and Careers For Breast Cancer Awareness Month
This year alone, there will be an estimated 266,120 new cases of invasive breast cancer diagnosed in women located in the United States. And there will be an estimated 63,960 new cases of non-invasive breast cancer that will be diagnosed as well. Not only that, but one in eight women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. Those statistics are scary. That is exactly why it’s incredibly important to generate awareness for breast cancer, raise money to help find a cure, and support others who are battling this horrible disease. As you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This time of year is typically marked by many of your favorite products temporarily donning packaging that features a pink breast cancer ribbon. So many companies do their part each October to give back in the efforts of hopefully putting an end to a disease that sadly takes too many lives. And Yon-Ka is no exception. This month, we have once again partnered with Cancer and Careers to give back to the courageous women and men who are fighting cancer.

About Cancer and Careers

Cancer and Careers is an organization that’s dedicated to empowering and educating those with cancer on how they can thrive in their workplace. Their team provides expert advice, interactive tools, and educational events (in-person seminars, trainings, and teleconferences) for them to take advantage of. It’s their mission to eliminate the fear and uncertainty of working for people with cancer and help them get back to work and their everyday lives. Their services are offered free of charge for anyone who may need it. And they’ve been able to help an astounding 525,000+ people each year. With their help, so many people who are battling cancer have been able to stay at their jobs, change careers, or return to work.

What Yon-Ka is Doing to Raise Awareness

For the month of October, Yon-Ka will be having a special donation campaign to give back to Cancer and Careers. It’s donations like these that help fund such incredible programs to help both cancer patients and survivors. When you purchase one of the Yon-Ka Paris masques, we will be donating $1 of each sale to Cancer and Careers. The masques included in this promotion are: Excellence Code Masque, Sensitive Masque, Masque 103, Masque 105, and Hydra N1 Masque. To help you decide which one is right for your skin, here are the details on each one:
  • Excellence Code Masque: Designed to fight signs of aging and help the skin maintain its youthful bounce and volume.
  • Sensitive Masque: A soothing masque to help alleviate inflammation and minimize redness to reveal even, smooth skin.
  • Masque 103: A triple clay mask that’s designed to prevent blackheads, absorb excess oil, and help heal breakouts.
  • Masque 105: Delivers purifying and clarifying effects to cleanse and tighten pores, while also leaving a healthy, balanced glow.
  • Hydra N1 Masque: An intense, time-releasing masque to hydrate the skin and provide anti-aging effects and soothe damaged skin.

What Else Can You Do?

There are a number of other ways you can give back in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Besides donating with the purchase of your favorite Yon-Ka product, you can also check out the numerous other charities that provide funding for breast cancer research. For example, you can donate directly to Cancer and Careers and help make a difference in the lives of those battling cancer and those who have survived. You can even attend local events and races to help raise money to find a cure. Don’t forget to also let this month serve as a reminder to get yourself checked. Perform routine checks at home and visit your doctor for a yearly mammogram. Make sure you’re also encouraging friends and family to get involved and do the same. It’s so important to be proactive about your health. If you notice anything out of the ordinary, make sure you consult with your doctor immediately. Catching these things sooner could result in a different outcome for you and your family.
