4 Things You Should Know About Face Masks
With all the face masks on the market these days, you can find one to help with just about any skin issue you might be facing. Not only are they great for improving our skin, they’re fun to use for a little pampering session. But before you slather on your next mask, read these five things you should know face masks. These tips will help you get the most out of your mask…

1. Steam your face beforehand.

Steam Face If you want to maximize the effects of your face mask, try steaming your face before applying it. It may seem time-consuming to add another step, but it’s worth it in the long run. Steaming opens up your pores, which makes it easier to remove dirt, oil, and bacteria. A good steam beforehand will ensure your skin soaks up all the great ingredients in the mask.

2. Don’t forget your neck.

Mask Neck Unfortunately, many women forget their neck when applying their skincare products. This is a big no-no. Our necks should not be neglected when it comes to moisturizing and treatments because they are just as prone to aging as our faces. The next time you’re applying your favorite mask; don’t forget to add a little to your neck too!

3. Spray clay masks with YON-KA LOTION.

Lotion Yon-Ka While you may think it’s best to wait for clay mask to dry entirely it’s balancing and energizing effects are enhanced by spraying it with an alcohol-free toner such as YON-KA LOTION. A few spritzes keep the clays active and helps keep the mask feeling comfortable.

4. Always start with a freshly cleansed face.

In order for a mask to be truly effective, you should really cleanse your face beforehand. Use your normal cleanser to remove any dirt, oil, and makeup that may have built up throughout the day. Starting with a fresh, clean canvas will allow your skin to absorb the mask even better so you can actually see results.
